Dale Hefer is the CEO of the Nedbank IMC – Africa’s Biggest Marketing Conference™ – and the originator of Marketing is Business®, a registered trademark and a philosophy built on a single conviction: marketing is not a support function. It is the engine of business growth.
She founded ChilliBush Communications in 1998 from a hired garage in Parkhurst, Johannesburg, and built it into one of South Africa’s leading independent communications agencies before selling it in 2014 with over R100 million in annual revenue. She was named South African Businesswoman of the Year in 2010.
In 2018 she acquired the IMC Conference and rebuilt it from the ground up. The Nedbank IMC now attracts over 3,000 marketers and business leaders from more than 20 countries each year. It is the largest gathering of marketing professionals on the African continent.
